ok I need a cat for my 1980, now finding one for a commercial chassis, is a no go, what will work from the reg Cadillac :wallbash: line, of course a universal or direct fit for a 49 state car is 49-113 bucks, ad the word "CALIFORNICATED" and $200-$500+ is all you can find, funny thing a 49 state cat is no different in how its made and what materials used!!! And that's from a tech I know at magniflo.... So Mark V, what Cadillac model Cats would you suggest....

Neither of my cars was manufactured late enough to require smog testing, let alone any smog equipment, so unfortunately offering advice on catalytic converters is beyond my knowledge base :crybaby:

How about it Clarence? You're more knowledgeable on these later caddys than I am.

Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. -- Dr Seuss

No smog guy is going to crawl under there to actually look at the cat. Either it has one installed or it does not. I would use a universal high flow cat. pretty cheap from summit etc. They work good and you wont notice any performance loss
